le champignon

after a day of going on interviews, erin and i decided it was a good idea to meet up and eat up. we headed over to le champignon, right next to cafe champignon. the difference is the cafe is more of a, well, cafe, just drinks and simple salads/sandwiches/pastries on the go. le champignon is the restaurant with indoor seating as well as sidewalk seating, where we chose to sit. we were seated next to a couple (obviously bc the universe loves rubbing them in our faces) and erin was totally eyeing the lady's penne alla vodka, so that's what she ordered, and i got the veggie panini (eggplant/zucchini/peppers/tomato/goat cheese on a ciabatta (or something like that, w/e it was it was bangin')) for dessert, erin so kindly brought a box of hello panda (which was actually the day i was truly introduced and got hooked) but back to le champignon... it is divine, highly recommend on a sunny day. i believe there was a brunch special as well, something involving wine. all i know is the ladies on our other side were definitely hitting that special up. but if you're on the go walk into the cafe right next door, our fave is the mint chocolate iced coffee with skim or soy. erin chooses to savor every sip, where i tend to have it gulped down before i get my change back. moral of the story.. go here! ☮carly
